Choose an Upsell module
The term upsell can translate into additional sales, incentive sales or upscaling. The service makes the user want to continue his navigation directly in the product pages. He does not need to return to the category page. He can thus navigate from product to product via Upsell recommendations. Each banner expands his choice and engages more in the discovery of articles on your site. The visitor can therefore make a decision with more discernment. He buys more products that increase your conversion rate.
The Upsell service has a major impact on frugal visitors who like to compare similar products and anxious visitors who are comforted in their choice by the wisdom of the crowd.
Visitors who click on Upsell recommendations have a much higher conversion rate than others. They are more satisfied with their experience on your site and are much more loyal.
We identified three main criteria for choosing an Upsell module:
- The relevance of the recommendations. It directly impacts the clickthrough rate on Upsell recommendations, conversion rate, and your revenue. If you have few articles and your catalogue is static, you can configure product associations with manual rules. But as your catalogue grows, you get much better results with Artificial Intelligence.
